Screw the traditional band set up! We crave and relish the opportunity to work with people who are trying something a bit different, like Fuck Buttons. They started out playing with a few loop stations and old Fisher Price toys and now look at them! Still performing out of suitcases while headlining Glastonbury Stages! Well the relatively new outfit ‘Sexy Levels’ are playing against the status quo as well. Currently without any social media outlets other than a soundcloud page of early demos, the duo booked in for a string of sessions last week to record an EP with engineer Simon Small.
Simon slays on guitar so knew exactly how to hone in on the tone needed for this experimental dual guitar/drum machine instrumental combo. The advancement from even the early demos is huge and in this recording the guys even played with added multi layered tribal drumming. Running guitars through the killer Blackstar heads/cabs we have, the guys smashed through 5 tracks across 3 sessions. The mixes are being finished of now and the result will surely emerge online in the coming days but fo now, it’s all about the music so keep an eye on the soundcloud link below.
