Here We Go Magic (with a ringer from The Kaiser Cheifs) take a break from Studio Two
As any gigging band knows, leaving an impression at your shows is essential! It builds your fan-base and gets people talking about you which ultimately leads onto bigger and better things.
Now picture this…your band is doing alright, you’ve gigged a lot, you have a couple of very well received albums out and then you get asked to support Elbow on their UK arena tour! Well, that’s the reality for New York’s Here We Go Magic who are have been in the Studios for the last couple of days honing their set to perfection. After all, when you’re about to play to as many as 20,000 people a night for the next week at venues across the UK including the vast O2 arena, you need to be at the top of your game. They’ve even roped in Simon Rix (bassist with the Kaiser Chiefs) to play with them.
Chatting over a coffee, Luke was explaining how in a weird way, playing the massive shows is almost a more intimate affair as you don’t have as much freedom to freestyle and find yourself focusing more on what you’re playing than the audience watching you.
We wish them lots of luck from all here at resident; our humble recording studios are always at their disposal.
